Hello,

My name is Isabeau, I am a 21-year-old student and I follow the study Child and Youth Care. I learned a lot through my three years of study about the development of children and how to stimulate their growth. In my senior year, I am writing an essay about the talents of the children in Child Action Lanka, Sri Lanka, where I did my last internship.

Child Action Lanka is a non-profit organization that takes care of the well-being of vulnerable children. In Kelaniya, a small town in Sri Lanka, CAL works with vulnerable children who live in a difficult home situation. CAL offers them a safe environment in which they can develop all kind of skills.

I really enjoy being with children and helping them through the process of developing. It is my goal to support them wherever I can and to stimulate them to discover their talents and skills. My ambition is to create an environment where they can stand up for themselves and in which they can function as a fully developed adult. I strongly believe that if teachers, parents, educators and children work together the kids will be able to completely develop their skills and become a confident person.
